I don't think there is any such thing as too much attention, or too much affection.
I find that the very young understand this, and perhaps the much older, but here in ny, the in betweens, those between say 25 and 38 dont seem to get it. They are so "busy" with their lives that although many say they want a relationship, they really just dont have the interest in paying attention to their partner, spending lots of time together, doing things together, texting all day, calling just to say I love you at lunch time or whenever... so busy with other things in life.
I work to live, I dont live to work. I Love to live, and I live to love so the relationships in my life, take precedence. I didn't mean to make this about age, It's not really, just an observation though, regarding the way some people seem to view things at different times in their lives.
